Are there any professional companies that research and put together a veterans tour from the time they entered the military to the time they were discharged? I would like to piece together my grandfathers time in the military for my father. I have researched as far as i can go, i have replaced all his medals and things of that nature and presented them to my father since i have his DD 214. But i cant get any other information, it seems his files were in a fire at the NARA in 1973.

Any information is greatly appreciated

Without any background to Units involved.

Try contacting Bn/Rgt/Division associations, they could have some of the info, or provide direction to it.

PS. If anyone is chasing similar help, please put in the Units involved, makes it a lot easier to help!!

Sommecourt on this forums does that for British soldiers. There are a few companies in the US that do that for US soldiers. I can give you a url of one but I must urge you to do the research yourself. You will find yourseld going on a fascinating journey that will prove addictive. Why pay anyone else to go on that journey for you????
