I'm really confused on this whole division/regiment/corps/company thing...can anyone help me out?

I'm focusing on a scenario about Hill 400, and I would very much like to place a realistic profile of someone in it, however I'm not exactly sure how...

Ok, so I need him to be in the Rangers, and in an Infantry division. Can you guys narrow the choices down to what Ranger [groups] were in Infantry divisions....

Thanks, I know I'm a pain in the ass, but I'm still learning!

More than a Pain in the Arse.

Ranger battalions were Independent Units.

They could be attached to Corps/Divisions at any time.

Instead of being a pain in the arse, try getting off your arse and do some research.

30 seconds on Google to find this!!
