Just watched The War File Grant M3 tank DVD

On this they had something on the Burma battles and I was rather "shocked" to see the Japanese methods of fighting tanks. It seems they had some kinda Human Tank Combat Groups who made suicide attacks and someone even used cyanide gas on the tank driver (?). I´m sorry I might not have gotten the name right but the troops to fight the Japanese AT men and escort the tanks were called "Bombay grenadiers " or something like that...

Anyone know more? Any books available?

One of Japan's methods of destroying tanks was to bury a very large artillery shell with only the nose exposed. When a tank came near enough a soldier would whack the shell with a hammer. "Lack of weapons is no excuse for defeat." - LtGen. Mutaguchi
