I suppose you are referring to the Soviet admission of Hitler's death? They sent a top level NKVD team to the Chancelry to identify the bodies, Stalin did need an early positive identification. IIRC Zhukov was very annoyed about this as this important important assignment was eing run by Beria's NKVD in his own frontyard, and he was not in the least informed.
This is an obscure subject, I think it only came to light some 10 years ago, but even then it sounded fishy to me, including the toing and froing of Hitlers remains. Even Hitler's skullcap in the KGB archives which was recently put in public view was debatable.
