New guy here with a not so interesting question. I inherited a bunch of WWII as a result of my grandfather and father's deaths. I came across a roll of posters that Illustrate the 2nd Armored Division campaign thru Europe. I have done extensive research and can find no information regarding these posters. I can find no copyright or any information regarding who produced these posters. These are really interesting, and were creating quite a buzz with some military collectors at the gun show I took them to. I have them in my possession along with a digital camera, so I can provide a picture if that could help. Has anyone ever seen a poster like this before?

Rich

I'm sorry for your loss, but that's nice to get those things to remember your father and grandfather.

Pictures would be great as I have no idea what you are talking about otherwise. Also, you say you have an "interesting question" and then you don't ask one! What specifically are you looking for?

Moved to Information Requests Forum.

Welcome xx78! Don't mind Blazkowicz, he's grumpy today. Pics and a specific question would help though.

WOW,

I am a member of a lot of different forums, and that is one hell of a way to welcome someone to the board. Yeah looking back at my post I guess I forgot to ask a question. That is truly my fault. I will edit my post to fit the rest of my post.

Stuff like your poster was often locally printed by the US Army for general distribution to the troops. Most of the time no printer is listed as it is "offically" considered a government document and not copyrighted per se.
If they are original they may have some value depending on rarity and condition but, most likely they are more valuable to you as mementos.

Any idea as to when these may have been produced? They look old, but I wasn't sure if they were close to WWII itself. They are in pretty good condition lol, I have 7 or 8 of 'em in a roll. I found them in a piece of pvc pipe in my dad's rafters. The fringe of them is aged, but they were rolled up in newspaper, so some of the inner ones are nicer that the others.

Any clue to value? I have heard guestimations at the gun show anywhere from 50.00 to 200.00. Any clues. Not looking to sell, just needed to know if I need to preserve them.

I've seen these types of posters at militaria shops in Canada. I can't say they were especially expensive, but I do remember them hanging on the walls or whatnot. I'm not really sure the value, but I'm assuming they were produced shortly after the war by the unit association or the units themselves. Other than that I draw a blank.
