I have an interesting picture of a German bomb in France.
Could somebody help me to identify it? It must be a heavy model (maybe a 500 kilo bomb or more? )
It could be one those used for the battle of Britain. This one seems to be under maintenance , unless it was dropped during a training flight . Germans used real bombs in 1940 , but they became too expensive for training sessions and were replaced by 500 kilo concrete bombs later. The countryside is still filled with these harmless relics. A concrete bomb was found near Orleans, France in 2005.
