Question J.S. Daniell and first kills

In Danny Parker´s "To win the winter sky" it is mentioned that Lt J.S. Daniell from 339th Fighter Group shot down on one mission ( with P-51) five FW 190´s on 26th November 1944. However what makes it interesting is that according to the book it was also his FIRST mission.

Can anyone confirm that it was also truly his first mission. Must say if it was, not many did better I´m sure?!!
