Question Hiroshima clock

It is said everywhere the clock stopped at 8.15 when the bomb exploded. I found an old article saying the clock had stopped for no apparent reason a couple of days before the Little Boy exploded.I was wondering if anyone else has seen this article or know about this whether the clock hands have stopped to show the explosion time?

I found this for the bombing time:

The bomb was armed in flight 9600 m (31,000 feet) above the city, then dropped at approximately 8:15 a.m. (JST). The detonation happened at an altitude of 580 m.

In an another site it was calculated it would take a minute to reach the hight where the bomb exploded so it would still suit the idea the bomb stopped the clock.

Default Re: Hiroshima clock

I would believe the clock stopped when the bomb exploded

Maybe it stopped at 08.15 48 hours earlier....

Anyway there is no way to check this and we"ll probably never know.
