Question Research Assistance on a WWII veteran: Robert Sven Zetterberg

My father in law who has passed on now served in WW2. He was a co-pilot on a plane called "Happy Warrior" I am trying to find out if anybody here knows anything about the plane or possibly his crew members. It was a B-17G. My husband has lost the information on Squadron # as well as Bomber Group # . My father in law's name was Robert Sven Zetterberg. If anyone has any information that could help us out, pictures that we might could get a copy of or if anyone served with him, please contact us. Also is there a place where you can search by name and get information online? My husband builds finescale plastic models and is interested in building his father's plane to honor his memory.

Thanks so much in advance for all the help!

In my archives I have the name Robert S Zettenberg as a co-pilot from 487BG 838SQ. You may find information by looking at sites dedicated to the 487BG . I'll see if I can find more .
