Re: My links about RAF in WWII
That's a great idea Perhaps we should open a thread dedicated to Favourites. I'll put mine in order.

Re: My links about RAF in WWII
I organized all my military favorites in a bookmark fashion under the tab "WW2" Unfortunately I don't have anything besides what the common eye hasn't seen already :P

I really like the pictures of inside the Hudson at this link ! You get a good feel for how it was inside the gun turret. Must have been pretty cold in there too.

LEMB
rafcommands.com
google individual RAF squadrons
lost bombers and that was mentioned previously today.
several German sites that also cover RAF losses and victories. these are actually private done up by local German residents like in the Saarland, Bremen as examples.
German night fighter forum : German Night Fighter War 1939-1945
and even armyairforces.com covers RAF at times

Bombercrew.com – A Tribute to Heroes of RAF Bomber Command and (NJG Forum) German Night Fighter War 1939-1945 were eye popping good surprizes, and me thinks me'za know-it-all for bomber command links! (all on another computer unfortunately.) Just now found the right links to RAF Commands 1939 - 1945 and Luftwaffe and Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum - Powered by vBulletin
PS Sorry Robin- too time swamped right now to adequately check out 156 Pathfinders... a topic I would really like to dig into. Want unbroken time to do so.

Re: My links about RAF in WWII
thanks Fred for your first link on the bombercommand as the forum looks interesting though not a ton of activity. should throw my 2 ¢ out on a couple of the threads as they need a bit of clarifying from the LW standpoint of things
I believe that Leslie was referring to the fantastic RAF Commands 1939 - 1945
a great resource though smacked by the side of the head in continous plagues of porno/medicine advertisement postings on its excellent forums

Re: My links about RAF in WWII
World War II unit histories & officers is proving useful. (Research.)
Its fairly new I believe, but definitely holds promise.
Example: RAC Reconnaissance units, which is an interesting topic area for me, otherwise difficult to even get started at researching at times.
There is not much RAF or other Air Force material there yet... but for military regiments they are already proving to be very useful. Note that he is actively asking for assistance.
Noting also that while there is a Canadian section already, it appears he has nothing yet for Australia, New Zealand or other British Commonwealth nations etc., which is rather sad, however, again, it is a new site. Haven't looked at his section on Germany yet. This might be very useful and interesting.
Ahh.
Another one I like: 467/463 RAF/RAAF WORLD WAR TWO BOMBER SQUADRONS,Lancasters,bombers,sorties,missions,WW2, Waddington, war, memorial - having lost so many in the RCAF and RAAF in bomber command. PS:Their links page is good.
_____________
And of course, worth reposting is: Oz at War 460 Squadron RAAF
"The most sorties
The highest tonnage
The heaviest casualties
The most decorations
of any Squadron in Bomber Command"
Oh boy, doesn't that just tear your heart out.

Re: My links about RAF in WWII
although tedious one could always on a day off or a very dark and rainy day literally type in on Google every ~ day and bomber unit in the RAF to see what comes up on your screen.............of interest some very interesting first person accounts have arisen on the net for Luftwaffe singular units that I have typed in over the years.
The de Havilland Mosquito Page any help
