Fritz Hippler

Anyone know if Fritz Hippler, the man who created the movie " Der Evige Jude", had a Jewish grandmother, and was sacked from his job in 1943 by Göbbels?

This piece of info is given about him in the credits section of the movie " The Uprising " (2001 )...
