Default Stalingrad Footage and Pictures
I am currently working on a documentary on Stalingrad and was wondering if anyone out there knows where I can get soldiers home videos/pictures and other rare footage from the Southern Russian campaign of 1942.

That would be very interesting Brian, must admit! Unfortunately I fear that about 99% of the German material of any kind was taken by the Red Army troops between November 1942 and February 1943 when the frontline moved
some 6-700 kilometers ( 450-500 miles ) to the west. So I suppose you should contact people in Moscow for any new film-clips and pics first...

It also seems that the recent books with new material on Ostfront battles are based on info from the Soviet veterans or material "released" from the Russian archives.

The National TV Broadcaster here in Ireland, RTE, are currently running an excellent 3 part documentary series about Stalingrad, which contains some 'never before seen footage'.
It may be worth sending an email to them to enquire about the availibility of this footage, librarysales@rte.ie
