I have an helmet at home,which I bought from an army store,they sold all kinda stuff,for example an old APC and different helmets,they even had german gasmasks btw.

When I cleaned this helmet,the water that came out was pretty bloodred,may it have been blood or rust?

It has some digits and some letters on the band on backside,it's very unclear though. I have some pictures and I would really like you guys to help me identify if it's a real WWII helmet,and not some helmet that was made as a copy. PS: I also have a bullet I found in the Omaha beach area,it was about 1.5-2.0 dm,and had a "1942" stamp on the backside,any ideas of what weapon it could be from?
