Hello all,
My first post on here and it is for some help please.
I'm compiling a database of WWI/II Cemeteries to be distributed freely for use on satellite navigation units such as TomTom, Garmin etc. I've posted several updates so far on The Great War Forum and I will post on here too if I am allowed. (only been on here ten minutes!)
I'm trying to find the location on Google Earth of the above cemetery. Details can be found on the CWGC site
http://www.cwgc.org/search/cemetery_......5597&mode=1
It's somewhere in the French Alps. An interesting little cemetery in that it contains the passengers and presumably crew of a plane which crashed carrying the highest ranking serviceman to be killed in WW2, Air Chief Marshall Sir Trafford Leigh-Mallory. The saddest bit is that his wife Lady Leigh-Mallory was with him.
Somewhere in the region of 45.20317 6.04031 but I can't spot it on
[ Geoportail ] or Google Earth. Can anyone help? It's supposed to be on the mountainside east of Le Rivier.
cheers
Bruce
