Default Lexington C16

My son is working on a school research paper. The topic is the Lexington C16 with focus on how it effected World War II. He's located some info on line, but was unable to find anything at our local library and asked me to post an inquiry here. What books and web sources would you guys recommend regarding the history of the Lexington C16?

We had the following books forwarded to a local branch library:

1. Queen of the flat-tops; the U.S.S. Lexington and the Coral Sea battle, by Stanley Johnston. 1942.
2. Carrier Lexington / text and contemporary photographs by Hugh Power ; introduction by Robert J. Cressman ; foreword by Jerry Chipman. c1996.
3. Men of the Blue Ghost (USS Lexington CV-16) : historic events of World War II in the Pacific as told by the men who lived them, 1943-1946 / compiled by Lee Fleming Reese. 1980.

There is the museum in Corpus Christi Texas that may have something on the web site or you could ask Carl as he used to work there. Also I would put in you title USS Lexington so people would be alittle more clear you are talking about an aircraft carrier.

Good point about the incomplete title. We're headed down to Corpus Christi this weekend and staying on the ship overnight. My son is making good progress on the first leg of the project which is due this Friday. Carl and I have exchanged a few emails.
