Lightbulb Re: Fairbarin sykes knifes

The broad arrow of your third-pattern F-S knife is the British Goverbment ownership or acceptance mark, signifying that the weapon has been inspected and meets Government Standards. 'B2' in this case is the Inspector's Mark.

I can't find a reference to the scabbard markings.

An excellent and invaluable little reference to F-S knives is Alan W Locken's 'Collector's Guide To The Fairbairn - Sykes Fighting Knife' ( Bunker To Bunker Books, Winnipeg, 1995 : ISBN 0 - 9699764-0-2 ).

If it's any help, Alrewas is a village in Staffordshire. Site of a factory perhaps?
Wasn't Asulan some kind of deity?
