Default German Flag speak german?

My father was in WW2 and his items have been past to me..For safe keeping,WHICH I will do...Ever since I was a kid I have woundered what this flag said? Please...This Flag does have a bad insignia ....Please.... it was not posted to affend anyone. I just wish to find out WHAT is SAYS.....THANKYOU...jrbo

It says German field post? it is flag for the postal service! I may be corrected.

Yes, it is the German Army Postal Service. Flag was hung outside the building or tent of the unit's postal service.

THANKYOU....That make sense...he always said..later in life he aquired it from a post office...when I was younger he said he aquired it digging s...t houses for the wac....again thanks.........jrbo..
