I suspect given the campaign history and number of bronze stars awarded that your dad was only attached to the 451st for discharge and thus listed as his last command on his discharge papers. Knowing his MOS / Occupational speciality (a three digit number in the WW 2 period) and any other awards would help in this respect.
If you have any additional information SES please post it up to help us with reconstructing your father's service.

my gramp was a truck driver LT 345. He left the U.S on march 4 1943 destination MTO and arrival was March 18 1943. I think he sailed aboard the USS John Ericcson.

My dad was also a truck driver MO345. His departure was March 5, 1943 with arrival march 18, 1943. He was in North Africa to start. From there he never spoke much of where he was went. I would love to see the picture, I don't know how you do pictures but I have a yahoo email that you could send to if you want to. It is ses4455@yahoo.com Thanks SES

SES,

I would counsel you strongly not to post your email address in the open forum, unless you want every spammer that sees sending you all manner of junk. It would be far better to open yourself up to receive personal messages and give your address to those who are members of the forum and ask you for it.
