I know its not fiction.

I know well of the various German Societies and Himmlers excessive funding of archeological digs... not to mentions Hitler's utter contempt for them.

I would suggest that you read some books that perhaps have a more reasoned view of the links between the Nazi's and the Occult.

Its also all rather laughable... Even Hitler commented that Himmler's obsession with the Occult was 'pathetic'.

just because Hitler laughed at it doesn't make it anymore less true, and I did post this under information request. So ripping me a new one about how I need to read books and the researching data argument doesn't make much sense on this forum.

Of course you can read and marvel the nazi occultism as much as you like PactOsfSteel, but even the nazis were able to make it look pretty doomed story. One of the propganda stories was that the pyramids were built by ancient super aryan men and not by pharaohs ,actually. All the more I read about the occultist stories they had created the more I felt like crying, really. Those were not even funny anymore but something like from a very bad science fiction book. There is a difference between good and bad propaganda and what people believe or not.

Surely suggesting you look for books with a more reasoned view on Nazism and the occult IS pointing you in the way of research!

Sadly most web based material is of VERY dubious content on this matter.

The Occult Roots of Nazism - Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke

Its an easy read and has a fair bit of 'myth' in it... Take some of it with a pinch of salt but its an interesting read in places.

Or for a slightly more academic tome...

Race and the Third Reich - Christopher M. Hutton

It gives a more 'academic' look at the cult of the Aryan.


But most books on this subject tend to be rather 'pulpy'. Avoid anything with Thule in the title!

Now this is news to me. I have never read anything about astrology being the reason behind the German's strategy. I have read about Goebbels using astrology in his propaganda and of Himmler's interest in using myths in his quest in making the SS the elite organization and leaders of the new order. But as far as I am aware, nothing ever became of this hogwash. Did they really take this seriously? Who knows.

I could list up some excellent (and completely fictious regardless of the seriousness of the authors) conspiricy theory books like that perannual favorite Behold a Pale Horse by William Cooper. None are worth actually spending money on but are kind of interesting to look at from the point of view of just how deluded some people can become.
