Default A School Project Starring: You!

Good Evening
I'm Claire, and I'm currently a third year student at West Orange High School. I have a small project assigned to me to try and find a war veteran and interview him! I thought that was exciting so I accepted. We are studying World War II, and just finished the Holocaust (which I think is the most fascinating aspect of the War, not in a bad way of course) and I would love to get a personal account of all of this, someone with a photographic memory would be perfect.

So, if there is anyone willing to be interviewed, please step forward! I would really, really appreciate it.
I will have a list of questions in the next few days (I need my teacher to confirm the questions.) And if anyone who decides to volunteer and be interviewed, you can talk about your memories or your fears and I can just make questions on the way. Leave question suggestions here as well!

Thank you very much for your time!

Default Re: A School Project Starring: You!

My son in Valley Forge, PA (Phoenixville Area HS) was just given the same assignment.

I admire your teacher (as well as his) for using one of our most valuable resources. He had also had to interview 3 people with recollections of the Depression. It was so much more interesting and educational than just reading about it.

I'm sure you will connect with someone here; but if not, try contacting the closest USO. My sister volunteers at the one at Philadelphia Airport and she has made some wonderful friends who have amazing stories to share.

Good Luck with your paper.
