Was there anywhere where Russian troops fought Italian troops?

In Russia itself during the Russian Operation Uranus where the attack ended up with the German 6th Armee being surrounded in Stalingrad.

Italian war in Soviet Union, 1941-1943 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Italian Army fought in between the Hungarian and Rumanian armies due to their animosity towards each other. They were Part of Germany's army group South.

They got mauled and only about 40,000 escaped the encirclement.
