I cant recall what this is called, but I would know the title if I saw it. Does anyone know?
This is a doc/drama about a treasure hunter. I am not sure what nationality he is, he could be Dutch or Belgian.
He heard a story of 2 American marines who during the war was involved in an attack on a small town, there they killed a couple of Germans in a small bank with granades and found a large ammount of gold nuggets that had been stolen from the Jews. The gold was too heavy for them to carry, so when in battle and in their foxhole they burried the gold so they could return when the war was over to retrieve the gold. One of the marines died and the other returned to the USA to tell his story. He never went back and the treasure hunter heard of the story, but was not sure if it was true. He went over to find the goldand told the story behind it. He searched for a long time and was about to give up when he discovered it.
Because of the story behind the gold he did not keep it but gave it all to childrens charities.
I cant remember the name of the doc, but it is exellent.

I have seen this doc a couple of times on sky tv. I am not 100% sure but I think it could have been the History channel.
