Luftwaffe and Moscow 1941
Just saw a short document on Luftwaffe in Barbarossa.
The document claimed that the distance to Moscow area was one of the reasons why the German bombers could not reach the Red Army reserves that counterattacked on 5th December 1941.
I do know the Luftwaffe had suffered huge losses, and I assume the distance to the heavier bombers´air fields might have grown more than those of fighter planes and Stukas.
Any book or document on this as I thought this would be interesting to know. It would not change the end result, as the Germans already had stopped themselves the Typhoon, but was there a potential bomber force that could not be used due to the distance or weather or other reason? Thanx for any info!
