Question Service/Enlistment stripes
Under the four overseas bars my dad's uniform has one service/enlistment stripe on the arm. What does the one stripe signify, vs 2, etc. ??

The left bottom photograph shows the stripe pattern employed to indicate continuous overseas service. Each stripe signifies six months of service. below it is an enlistment stripe. One stripe indicates three years of service.

The hashmark actually indicates 3 years federal service, but you're spot-on with the overseas bars.
