Default FG-42

The FG-42 in COD 3 has tremendous recoil. I was just wondering how much recoil the actual gun had, and how effective of a weapon it was. Thanks.

Why don't you use the Search feature and look up "fg42"? There's a number of threads on this already. Perhaps it would be better to ressuscitate one of the older threads instead of opening up another one.

It got hot quickly, had a huge muzzle flash( see photo on this thread) and recoiled quite a bit. but it had a detachable 20 round mag loaded with potent rounds and was pretty accurate and even fielded with a scope which had the german style post type reticle which I have always liked. a decent weapon produced in numbers too few to have any real effect on the war. If only Hitler hadn't been so hung up on equipping his troops with the bolt action mausers of the first world war....imagine every german soldier in 1941 armed with an mp-44.
