Default US Cousins help needed

Can any of our US cousins point me to a site or any information on ex USN ship by the name Aloha Mona. Must have been from pre ww2 days, ended up over in UK as HMS Ferret serving Home fleet in Londonderry Northern Ireland. Have tried a few USN website listings with no luck. Any info appreciated. Thanks.

You could try the "lloyd's register " which is a world wide insurance listing for ships of all kinds. It goes back at least two hundred years.

Do a Goggle search for "Lloyds shipping registry " It may be available on line.

I found this as a cached Google page. The origianl apparently was no longer available.

WESTERN APPROACHES COMMAND

It had very little info on it, but it did mention the Ferret as being the ex-Aloha Mona.

Thanks Slipdigit, that is the only info I had found previously. But thanks for looking anyway. Thanks Canadian I will try there too. Im looking for it as it is the only ship in my dads war records that I have no info on. I know it was only a base ship and he probably only transitted through it, but its the last part of a pretty big picture in his service history, the only one I have no info on. Thanks guys.
