Question Shoulder Patches

My grandfather passed away recently and I inherited his WWII service scrapbook. It's quite a gem! Among the letters and newspaper clippings, was an envelope that contained these badges. I know very little about the war past my high school history classes, and even less about military insignia. The envelope is not labeled. I know that my grandfather was drafted into the army about 2 or 3 months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and served in France D+30 (or at least that was the terminology he used). I would love it if someone could give me some information about these badges. I have no interest in selling them, but would like to frame them for my little bro who is the only grandson. I originally thought they must have been his, but several of them have the Fleur-de-lis and a crown, which wouldn't seem common for US patches. But what do I know? TIA for any help!

I don't recognize any of them. Perhaps some of our European members can ID them for you.

They are French shoulder badges like the one uses by the Gendarmes. They are related to their local sections. Don't ask me the specific names , they could be small towns, but I recognize the Normandy lion , the Bretagne Hermione (black and white symbol on top left) and probably some Flanders insignia too. I have a Friend who is a retired Gendarme, I will ask him
