Re: P-51 Crash at airshow
How sad to lose two P-51's due to someone not paying attention. It looks like one was on the wrong runway or taxiway at the wrong time judging from the picture. I wish I had more information.
Thanks for posting the information.

Re: P-51 Crash at airshow
I looked up the crash at this site and it looks like they both landed on the same runway and the second P-51 ran into the first one.

Re: P-51 Crash at airshow
sad news indeed. I hope the second pilote will survive. Are the aircrafts beyond repair?

Re: P-51 Crash at airshow
This is very sad - the Warbird safety record has been very good recently.

And in Oshkosh, of all places.

Re: P-51 Crash at airshow
The pilot who was killed has been named as Gerry Beck, an aircraft restorer who produced a 'home-built' P-51A re-creation which first flew in 2006.

Re: P-51 Crash at airshow
Yes very sad indeed, thank god the other pilot walked away only with minor injuries.
Any news as to who were the pilots, just air enthusiasts or war veterans?
