men it's always a bummer when you find these. They are nice on a picture but that's about it. I like the detonator, as long as it's harmless.

I love these pine forests , they remind me of my youth . Where i live there are oaks and birches , a few pines too , but more like the Austian black pines. Very nice picture !

The trees remind me of my youth too, even thought it was in Minnesota, not Europe!
Excellent stuff here man; post more! I'll definitely look for this kind of thing when I visit the Fatherland in 2009.

Some Hürtgen finds done 2 months ago.
US messtin, some .30-06 cartridges, many buckles and grommets from a US tent, a headlight from a truck, maybe from a Kübelwagen or something? Found it near some German/US ammunition, a broken bottle with text on it (Washington DC), and some other stuff.

Last weekend we visited the Hürtgen/Eifel forests, here some findings done by me and my friend and his son. Some of the findings include a StG44 magazine, US canteen, US messtin, US AT mine lid, US shaving cream, M1 carbine grenade launcher (very rare), buttons and buckles, Garand ammunition clips, old coin from 1832, German gasmask container (rotted), old bottles, US shovels, and a German "harmonica" or "mouth-organ"... don't know if I spell that right?
