Last thursday a friend and i paid another visit to the Forest and these are the finds from my part:







This mortar is back in the hole it came out from, just for the picture, i'm no ammo fan!





An US Lemon Juice package, this is one i did not had yet!

An Garand oiler, it was already late on the day and becoming dark, in my haste digging it up, i crushed it.
It WAS in perfect condition!

I believe Halldin is asking about the location of your finds in the forest. If this is the case the answer is near the Ruhr Gebiet.

Last sunday i visited the Hurtgen Forest once again with a search-buddy.
We spend the afternoon digging and walking and came up with the following finds:



This was our starting-point:





My buddy found this dumppit:









Remnants of a bajonet/knife (i do not know what kind!):





Remnants U.S. gasmask:

















Part of a K-98:









Part of a U.S. goggle M-1944:

Once again some excellent finds there! The gasmask is in fairly good condition, same thing for the glove and the lid.

hi Aru-ed, nice finds, I realy like finding things from battles, me and a friend visit Normandy and rumage around in the falasie pocket area finding some interesting stuff, I will post them soon

We also dig up a lot of spent rounds localy in North Wales, these are from fighters that trained there, I believe they are from spitfires and hurricanes all ww2 dated and British 303 and 20mm canon

The finds where a little dissapointing but the surrounding and weather made it perfect!
