Default hurtgenforrest 06-06-2008 BAR Rifle!!!

Today with an new collegea trainee !!! (went for the first time with me) doing some search work in the area from the Hurtgen forrest.
At 9 o clock he was there and we went to 2 locations i search on goolge maps.
I used my new White detector and gave him the old one from me a Black Night detector !!!! It wil changes my life forever
On the first place some ammo .50 and lift the dot buttons, but the secon place......
I walked trough an German Hole and my detector didn't do not much....
My pal find a K98 bag with the Belt and the bayonet
I thought that's some beginners luck !!!

Sudden I hear him schreaming my name.....oh now a BAR rifle.....

Yep, you sure don't find a Bar in such a great condition everyday. I hope you "ll be able to restore it. It looks almost complete and the parts that are missing can hopefully be replaced.

Interesting relic,

I'm wondering which side that weapon was fighting for, I carried a BAR many a mile, the finned barrel and pistol grip would indicate that one was not U.S. issue.

Indeed, this isn't a BAR but a WZ 28, used by the Germans.
