2009 D-Day Conneaut Reenactment
Schedule of Events as of August 7th

Friday August 21st and
Saturday August 22nd 2009
Time and events subject to change.

Friday Evening - August 21st 2009
Conneaut Railroad Museum - OPEN UNTIL 8PM
6:30 PM Concert - Echoes of an Era Newcomb Performing Terrace
at the Port of Conneaut

 Saturday August 22nd 2009
9:00 AM - Opening Ceremonies - 1st Formation of Troops
9:05 AM - Encampment and Displays Open to the Public
9:30 AM - Allied Sand Table Briefing - 29th Division CP
10:00 AM Tour of the Atlantic Wall - Bluffs
11:00 AM - Bridge Battle featuring French Resistance,
Allied Airborne and Axis Inland Troops - Valley Floor
2:00 PM Allied Troops Formation Prior to Landings
(Accompanied by the Playing of our National Anthem)
3:00 PM - Seaborne reenactment of the Normandy Landing Begins
5:15 PM - Encampment Displays Close
6:00 PM Re-enactor Dinner at the Conneaut American Legion
8:00 PM to midnight - USO Dance at the Conneaut American Legion Hall
(The dance features a live big band and is open to the public for a small $5.00 fee.)
