I recently noticed the thread on vintage German binoculars; and, yes, the armored Zeiss 10x50s are very nice. If you want binoculars to use, bear in mind that no binoculars, either wartime or pre-war, even approach the accuracy of modern optics. The difference is enormous. Peek through a 10x50 set by Swarovski and you'll never look through those Zeiss naval binocs again:

Color accuracy is phenomenal.
But, if you've got to have a vintage set of user binocs, here's something a little different.

TERLUX
They're 10x glasses, but with slightly smaller objectives. Lightweight and very narrow, they hang well and are easy to use with one hand. They have integral extensible lens shades. You're not going to have those big Zeiss binocs hanging around your neck for very long. These are very comfortable. Superb build quality.
Neat-looking and affordable: about $150.
