What is your favorite period to collect militaria from?

The period I collect mostly is 1939-1945.

Me--well so far my oldest piece, is an Austrian-Tirolean Campaign Medal from 1848, but I would like to at least expand to an earlier date to at least 1813--so maybe I can get an Iron Cross from that time period. The latest I have gone up to so far is the late 1950s.
