Hi guys! Tonight was a great night as I found a nice infantry's officer side cap. I hope you like it as much as I do. Comments are welcome, even if they are negative as I can always send it back. The dealer is well known and trustfull.
Besides the cap I ordered a small item which I had not ordered alone because of the high postage. Now I can present them both. Pictures are from the dealer's site because I just orderd the items.

Great buys my friend--I do not see anything wrong with the overseas cap.
Nice collar tab too. I'm not into political but--I have thought of buying NSDAP Collar Tabs.
Now for my 37th birthday--i'd like this Infantry Officers cap

Hi Volkbert -
Thank you for sharing the images of your infantry officer o'seas cap. Nice looking with the white soutache I might add. Having the soutache still attatched only adds to the value.
Listen, if ever you wish to let it go, remember, I used to be a German Army infantry collector, so...........

Sorry Carl -
You, of all people should know, that you received your birthday gift just a wee bit early this year.
Remember the German Cross In Gold I sent you not that long ago!?

Guys I was too quick with my postings. The day after I ordered the cap I received a mail that it was already sent to someone else. On his website it seend the article was still unsold but it wasn't.
But I am busy with another cap. This time a Feldmütze M42 for officers. Next week I go to some dealers in Germany and maybe after that visit I can proudly present a new cap. Maybe I post a picture wearing it like Stevin suggested.
And Carl, Bill - I can sent it to you but it's hard to let beautifull things go!

Save your money my friend--I happen to know that blackcrossmil tho they haven't updated their site yet--I got in a catalog from them saturday and they have I think 3-4 caps for sale. Keep a vigilent watch on their site for updates.
Also--i'm hoping to secure a 7 place all ww2 Luftwaffe ribbon bar from them. This guy served in the Kondor Legion and has to be a DKiG recipient in the least.
Anyway--check their site out in the coming next few days--they have some really great stuff that I saw in their newest catalog.

Volkbert--I got shafted as well. I was putting in for a 7 place ww2 Luft ribbon bar--but was just told it has been sold since saturday--damn--that was the day we got the catalogs in the mail. I wish I could break the fingers of the person who bought that ribbon bar.

I feel sorry for you Carl. I know the feeling.
I had better luck today. The cap was sent back by the former buyer and now it's coming my way.
Besides that today finally Barbara's birthday present arrived: The collector's guide to cloth third reich military headgear, written by Gary Wilkins. This book is so great I wish there was a book like this for all collecting areas.

Good deal on now getting that cap
