Any idea if it is aircooled or watercooled engine ? The second picture has lots of safety pins in the bolts and I have seen that on the wheels of USAF aircraft wheels, at least on the larger aircraft like the C-5. It has big nuts on the interior circle and smaller nut on the exterior and hex nuts around that so it held something that had alot of torque ?

I see a P or a D stamped below the worm gear on the other picture, are there other stampings ?

The first one would be difficult to id. Possibly part of the syncronizer system? The second, I suspect is part of the fuel injection system. I've seen similar, if somewhat differently styled mechanical injection systems on old sports cars, particularly Porsches.
The last looks alot like a Mk 108 worse for the wear.

I'd go along with T A Gardner - picture II looks a lot like a Kugelfischer-type mechanical fuel injection distributor.

Bf109G or K...? ..er, no, just a minute - if that is a fuel-injection pump, it has more than twelve outlets. Late Fw190A....?

your last mention T.A. is quite correct, a 3cm Mk 108 that has seen a better day. Fw 190A-8/R2 shot down on 11 September 1944 with a host of others of JG 4. I own several defunct 2cm spent casings and a huge piece of steel Panzerplatten from the fuselage from this a/c, plus some smaller inner workings.

Well, I could say it was a triple D triple cup recovered at Roswell with one of Peppy's lost "smoking implements" above it but, on a more serious note, on the blobby thingie are the fittings on the ends for tubing or just mounting points? I can't tell from the picture.

of course there is much more to what was left of the Fw Sturm crate.......for T.A. the one skinny end is threaded from what I understand.

thought would give a better overview of the big boy that drove that Fw from the Museum in the Erzgebirge

The blobby thing is a reservoir but I'm not sure if it's for oxygen or nitrous oxide....?

Ok this is my first post im sorry its just one with questions..You all seem to be good with aircraft wreck relics,close to where im working (Location witheld) a DO 217 crashed, we found this possible piece of coroded alluminium crash wreckage,Its got 4 bolts or rivets at one end and at this end it has a very small stamp K504 ,does anyone know anything bout this stamp..does it identify a part,or confirm it is German ,any info welcome please....thank you spotter
