Re: Fallshirmjäger pic .........
Did the Fallshirmjagers have camo frocks like the Waffen SS? This may look like one. I'm off on luftwaffe uniforms so this is the most I can contribute.

Re: Fallshirmjäger pic .........
I would agree on the year. As for the smock, I note changes of shades on it but it could be shadows. Especially on the left side.

Re: Fallshirmjäger pic .........
Hi guys, he's wearing a jump smock but I can't tell if it's regular camo or the Italian camo? Also, notice he has no helm decal? At some point, there was an order for them to be removed so he might have done that hmself or it had been done already before he was issued his Para Helm. Also, according to a great guy I know, he said that Paras after I think late 1943-were no longer issued these style of helmets and were issued the M-40 or M-42 style pots. I've seen many pics to back that up.

Re: Fallshirmjäger pic .........
ah but is it camo at all C ? that is a question I have. late in 44 - 45 the Fallshirms in Italia are still wearing the regular para helmet and un-marked Knochensack besides camo and like you said the 'special tailor made Italien camo tunics'
again the pic is dark.....oh well
