Oh I see ! I didn't get it . You are talking about the Felpostletter .

Sturmkreuz this is excellent news!

Ididn't know this soldier was a Luftwaffe Gefreiter.

Do you know I have a huge archive of this man . The first one has 60 letters dating from 1942 to 44 . I have started posting them for St Valentine's Day because they are mostly love letters from this Gefreiter to his French Fiancée.

You will find them in the Militaria section and the title is Romeo and Juliette (I started this yesterday)

I should get 320 more documents form him next week. Thanks a lot for your help.

some more great documents from 1942 and 1943: These are business orders from printers in Berlin (under) and another one based in Metz , Lorraine (above) . Both documents are adressed to a company in DIEDENHOFEN WESTMARK which was the official occupation name of THIONVILLE LORRAINE. The documents mentions that on eitem is not in stock and the printer suges treplacecing it with another one.
Check how most orders were signed at the end.

French field post correspondence from the phoney war (dated Feb 1940). Note the handwritten F.M (military mail) stamp and the POSTES AUX ARMEES cancellation

Fortunately, one of the workers was a collector and managed to hide a few sheets under his clothes every day. The copies with orignal glue are extremely rare. The worker sold the surviving stock to a stamp dealers and this is how they came on the market. Over the years i have managed to get about half of this collection.
I found your stamps, now i know where you talked about.
Nice collection!

Hi Skipper, you have many stamps i've never seen before, thankx for posting them. Oddly enough, my Grandfather (who is pure Norwegian) and shortly before the USA entered the war, collected a few thousand stamps from around the world including many from Germany and some from France-im not sure how many though?

If I can ever get my mitts on this collection, I can see if I can go somewhere to scan them and will have to get someone like Jeff or Erich; to post them here for me.

Thank you and yes, I have posted several items like archives of German soldiers or coins and bills. If you are interested you can find some of them in the Hurtgen, Romeo and Juliette or Gilze Rijen threads.

Today I have scanned avery rare complete booklet with unused Petian stamps. Every stamp has a little tag with Vichy propaganda on it (National relief fund) .

On the cover you will find adverts for the National Lotery and schooling with an application sheet behind.
