What are your newest Militaria purchases II?
This is the new thread to show us your newest militaria. The number one will soon be closed to allow faster viewing of the many pictures and avoid the files from beign to heavy.
First posting here: three Wintherhilfe pins I received form Germany today. One is dated 1936 with Nsdap propaganda ("bread and freedom") the two others are to promote the reconstruction of the Km nad show an anchor and a mine.

Re: What are your newest Militaria purchases II?
Certainly is quite alright to me ;-))
My newest include four Stuka Pilot-related pics--three to a Gent who was a DKiG recipient and heres a bit of info on him that Erich kindly gave to me abut him.
The Pilots name is Hans Schneider, who was killed in action somewhere on the Eastern Front Jan 1945. He flew both FW-190F-87 and JU-87-D.
The pics all show him wearing his DKiG-not great pics-but not bad for the price. The fourth pic shows a different Stuka Pilot who just got awarded his EKII.

Re: What are your newest Militaria purchases II?
Oooooooooooh I like that mine pin Skip, very cool
will let Carl fill all of us in which photos he was able to snap up, but the Ju 87 pilot served with some distinction in StG 2 "Immelmann" flying the D-3 and D-5 later marks on bomb runs and then the Fw 190F-8 as well as high escort for the rest of the Stuka members of his unit

Erich , I knew you'd like the mine. I lost an auction of a WHW pin that represented a porcelaine Luftwaffe pilot in full uniform ! Damn.

Hi Skipper, sadly, I only won three to the DKiG Stuka guy, and one Stuka Pilot EKII pic-basically-the sweepings from the road this time out. Oh well, i'll wait and see what is next to be offered?
Oh and those DKiG and RKT award ceremony pics I was trying for--all of them except one-sold for well-over $125 each-and I think ne sold for only about $60??? I couldn't get back on the internet thanks to connection troubles here.

Re: What are your newest Militaria purchases II?
too bad Carl, at least you got some of them, let me know if you want a hand to get them downloaded on the forum. In the menatime, I saved this little picture which is an authentic 1932 surviving relic from the famous MAILLY LE CAMP base that was destroyed on May 3rd 1944. Note this 1932 class soldiers with old WWI uniforms! It's a bit in battered condition, but hell I found on a fair near Blois for 50 cents.

Re: What are your newest Militaria purchases II?
Hi Skipper, if you wouldn't mind? ;-)) These might be my last pics for awhile.
Tak care-and also--I forgot to mention that you have some nice pins there. I have some German minis that im thinking of getting rid of. They include 2 or 3 Infantry Assault Badges, a Minesweepers badge pin, and I think a West Wale medal pin.

no problem Carl, just send me a pm with the references or date of purchase and I will post them for you in your special thread. I must really post the package to you , it's been waiting here for weeks, the good thing is that I actually get more things all the time.
Hi Jagd, great pin and perfectly genuine too!

Re: What are your newest Militaria purchases II?
I think the mine is quite rare but not very expensive because most people wouldn't recognise it if they saw it, so prices haven't gone crazy on this one and they usually sell for less than 10 € (I got mine for 4 or 5 ) , but I hear you are in love with it Erich, si if I find another one I'll get it for you. They appear from time to time on fairs or on the internet.

Re: What are your newest Militaria purchases II?
Great collector item and in good shape too!
This is possibly one of my nicest finds of the year. The coat has civil buttons , but the guy who sold it to me ,told me he got it from the estate of a FAFL veteran who wor ethis during WWII in England. then upon looking closer, I realized it is an authentic RAF great coat with orignal markings. The man recycled it into a civilian coat after the war by removing the RAF buttons, army label and rank, so "all" I have to do now is to get a set of buttons. Because of the buttons nobody had identified it, Bingo!

Re: What are your newest Militaria purchases II?
As requested in the previous Newest Militaria Thread, here is the Infantry Visor (along with the recent Pioniere visor) in my collection that belonged to an officer in the 17th Brunswick Infantry Rgt. The Totenkopf only has faint traces of it's silver wash left, and this visor is also an Erel make....

Re: What are your newest Militaria purchases II?
Hi Guys, i've got many to reply to but having a bad time in things actually posting.
Hi Skipper, John, Hucks, E, Scott and all.
Skipper, will do soon as I can get back here. Also, I can't remember if I have your email addy? Can you send me one to GebirgejagerregimentATyahoo.com please. I might
have to use only that for awhile becuse some of my PMs and other posts are not getting sent/posted here for some reason? and everyhing is at a snails pace again :-(
John, nice pin ;-)) Also, if you too can please contact me at the above email addy, I can send you more info on the pins I have with dealer info pricewise on what their price ranges are-and i'll let you know mine which will be based on and lower than those dealers prices.
Hucks, beautiful Infatry visor-I love em and always wanted a nce one. I don't really care for owning a "crusher" which alwasy seem to be priced much higher than steller examples like you have.
E, i'll PM you over on that other site or send you an email-too much problems with PM system here. And ditto on the price i'll set on this one. The only bad thing about this one is that it's finish is not very good but still has some intact. The pin itself is in nice condition.
Scott, nice to see you here ;-))

Re: What are your newest Militaria purchases II?
I'll just throw this out but due to rank and the awarding of the EK the member is most likely a radio operator/rear gunner of the Ju 87 in " Immelmann "
oops wrong thread

Here is my latest "Purchase", i didnt buy it, i found it where we lived before... It's a plank from the airport at Herdla, i went "Treasure hunting" in our old shed and the basement of the house where i found some other things from the war... I will post more details and pictures later cause my sister has taken my camera and wont give it back until i leave tomorrow.
Tell me if my english is bad...

Re: What are your newest Militaria purchases II?
Hi Scott, Erich,
Scott, thanks and glad you can be arond more. I enjoy greatly-your Vet awads threads and found Armor threads.
E, thanks and that's what I figured about the EKII guy. I know that at least until a certain time-that NCOs could be pilots but-I read somewhere that no "new" NCOs could be excepted into Pilot training-unless it was before whatever date that was that no longer allowed it? I THINK I heard that from Frank-not sure?

Hey did my RAF/FAFL great coat get unnoticed, not that I want cheers, but I'm just surprised that the aviation fans among you apparently didn't see this item?
Great cap hucks, it looks in perfect condition too!
nice plank collector, not a collector item as such, but still a nice find.
