Erich,
Eventually the site will (hopefully) get back to its former high level of documentation. Previously, it had histories of all the Scottish regiments, along with colours, battle honours, recruiting areas etc.
There was also quite a bit on the home front, such as the Bevin Boys and stuff like that, so it's not exclusively a military history site.
There was also a full list of ww2 raf fields, radar stations and a whole lot more that seems to be missing just now. As I say, it's only just back up and running after a few months when it was dropped by another of its previous host sites, so it's early days.
If you want
really detailed info on British regiments, try
www.regiments.org
This has been run by TF Mills for almost a decade, and although I haven't personally been in for a while, it's well worth a look.
You could also try the Scottish Military History Society.
Regards,
Gordon
