I found this great color picture of the Vickers Valiant based on Christmas Island in 1957. A very over looked aircraft in history.

This, I believe, is the aircraft which until very recently was on display at the RAF Museum in London ( it's now been moved to Cosford and the 'Cold War' Museum there ).

The Valiant was a very attractive aircraft which was prematurely retired from service due to fears over structural weakness in the mainspar.

Thank you for the site !

I was lucky to be able to see a Victor in the 80's and a crewman took some cockpit pictures for me.

Does your Dad have any pictures you can post ?

Those V-Bombers were marvellous, I had Vulcans flying over me a couple of times and they were quite impressive. My favourite is the Victor, who had a long and honourable career.
