Favorite (Post-WW2) Aircraft?
Well? Lets hear them!
Mine is the Harrier. I think it is a beautiful aircraft, and the fact it is V/STOL makes it all the more, err, cool.

The F22 is pretty foxy!
Joe, I was sitting in a cafe the other day and heard an aircraft go over and was surprised that my educated guess that it was a Harrier turned out to be right, he was flying low and slow, beautiful.

I saw the F-22 at the air show and it was awesome. That pilot had the plane at a standstill just like a harrier and then poof, he was gone. Another impressve plane was the C-17. It actually landed, stopped short, backed up and then took off.

re: Favorite (Post-WW2) Aircraft?
OT, but your answer reminded me of a time I was at Preston train station, and there was this one-legged pigeon plodding along. It was kinda strange, and my sister decided to feed it half a packet of crisps ( ), just becuase of it's disability. Well, it wasent really disabled, it just leaned to it's left all the time.
Anyway, Why the hell am I telling you this!

They are incredible aren't they, watched a C-17 over Brize Norton a while ago and it moved like a fighter, haven't seen something that size with that level of agility other than those videos of Vulcans.

The A-10 just puts the America's love of massive firepower into one plane.
They say you get hit by the shells before you hear the gun...must have been terrifying for anyone on the receiving end to see one of those swoop towards you!
