Re: Napoleonic figurines
Nice figures, skipper
I was going to buy some Napoleonic figures a while ago but I never had the time to do it. Lots of Uniforms and accouterments...nice figures again!

These are only a few of them I took some more pictures, but the ligt wasn't too good so I will probably take nicer ones if there is some interests.

Re: Napoleonic figurines
No time for board games, nor painting them myself. I used to paint my role game figurines as a teenager, but now I buy them painted. They are lead soldiers. A few older ones are tin or pewter. They are a sleeping hobby now, no more expensives for these soldiers, way too expensive for my modest budget.

Re: Napoleonic figurines
I thought it was a dying hobby 10 years ago but still they command top dollar, especially the Hussars or Dragoons covered in lace on a hefty charger, or the Lancers

Re: Napoleonic figurines
I don't even want to count the value, I'd get sorry because it's sleeping money in way. On the other hand they are quite unique and you don't see them every day. I wil scan more pics for you now.

Re: Napoleonic figurines
Very nice Skipper. I used to cast and paint my own lead figures years ago using the molds from Nuremberg Meisterzinn. I may have to get some more molds and start again LOL.
MOULDS, GIESSFORMEN, ZINNFORMEN

Re: Napoleonic figurines
I used to cast some myself too, but I got tired of inhaling the toxic fumes .
I was quite good at making them myself

Re: Napoleonic figurines
A gasmask, that's great! Quite tempting to order new molds, especially because I still have some lead sticks at home

The masks work quite well. I lost my molds a few years ago. And have wanted to get some more. I may do that soon. somewhere in my storage I have some figures I casted and pinted up. Ill have to see if I can find them LOL.

Re: Napoleonic figurines
I still have a huge box of D&D figurines too. Those I painted myself bu tthat was when I still had time. The problem with Napoleonic figurines is the price. They cost an average of 15 euros a piece , for pedestrians, if you get cavalry, they prices go up fast.

Re: Napoleonic figurines
thats crazy expensive but maybe a nice single piece on a horse-Lancer, Hussar or the like would be worth it. There is a guy local that has painted Cavalry figs of lead for 250.00 US..........I think he's nutz but guess that is the way it goes sometimes on the militaria end

Re: Napoleonic figurines
Cost is one of the reason I prefer to cast my own. I woudn't want to pay alot for figures. And some out there are priced pretty high.
