The Long and the Short and the Tall
No, not the well-known movie, but a picture of two German PoWS from 1941; look at the size of the shortest one compared to the escort!

Re: The Long and the Short and the Tall
Nice picture Gordon.
I've seen several photo's throught the years-some postcards etc, it apparently was a sort of practice for the Germans to put the shortest and tallest together and take their photo. I don't have any examples in my photo collection but am looking to buy any when I see them offered.

Re: The Long and the Short and the Tall
I confirm what Carl says about putitng the shortest and the tallest together. I have a picture of this, but don't ask me where. I will try to look it up. By the way the two guys seems to be part of a Luftwaffe crew. I wonder how the tall one could fit in the aircraft?

Re: The Long and the Short and the Tall
That's what I was wondering too Skip. The photo is from an old article in The Scots magazine about PoWs in Scotland, but I've no idea what type of aircraft the crew came from.
