My great uncle William Kovach was a military police officer stationed in Recife, Brazil during WWII. I found a bunch of old photographs of his from his time there, some of which appear to have been taken as informational by the military. Among them is a panoramic shot of a ship that was stationed there during the war at some point, and I would like to know what ship it is. I have been thus far unsuccessful in finding information on this, and would love a bit of help, if anyone knows what ships were there during that time.
