shiraz is an unknown quantity at this point

Am trying to find above relative - realise that giving just a name was a bit vague so have found a few more details:
he was a gunner in the RA (Royal Artillery?)
His number was 2816123
and I think he died in 1943
Can anyone supply ANY more details please?
