Default For you "What If?" fans. The Graf Zeppelin

Here are a couple of models of the Graf Zeppelin I found online. One in 1/600th scale and one in 1/700th scale.

I really love the Graf Zeppelin. Though It would not have altered the war, I wish Hitler had built it*, for no apparent reason but because there would be more photographs of it**. Though I've always wondered what those poles protruding from the sides are for?

*Yes, all by himself.
**And so the allies could have sunk it.

You woudn't see in this scale, but nets were strung across the beams to catch aircraft in trouble. All aircraft carriers had them.

For 1/600th scale Naval and Coastal gaming I have " Hunters on the Shoreline" and "Action Stations!" For aviation I have "Bag the Hun", "Scramble". Plus a few others I cant remember right now LOL.

No, these feature the German anti-gravity device (first generation) that allowed the aircraft to carry several times more weight than would normally be possible!

I also made a bead on those. I had to look twice to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
