Default Hello from Texas

I'm Stephen, I'm 18 and I'm currently in Texas. I've had a fascination with WWII for as long as I can remember, although there is a ton I still need to learn.

I focus on Aircraft, mainly on Luftwaffe and USAAF. Armor is my next interest, I love German armor specifically, and one day if I ever get a whole load of money, I want a Kettenkrad... Haha. Anyway, I've always loved the battle of Stalingrad, but I'd love to know the details of it.

As for other things, I skateboard, I collect 1:32 WWII scale replicas, records, different militaria, and I'm planning on buying an AK-47 once I get a job, as I love to shoot guns. I've always shot hunting rifles and now I want something with a little more brutality. I just want an AK 'cause it's the only frickin' military semi-auto rifle I can afford.

Anyway, that's me for the most part... Thanks for letting me be a part of this incredible forum!

Welcome to the site.

Col, "we Texans" can't help it if every other State in the Onion ;-) is so much smaller than that of Texas.

Thanks guys, and is this forum really that Texan-laden? Seems like I'll fit right in. Oh, and yes, I've been to the Lone Star Flight Museum several times, and I've been to the Midland Air Museum once, on a road trip, and I finally saw an Me-109. I was one day off from their air show, and we were on a tight schedule, and on that day I could have been able to sit in the frickin' 109! Ah, but at least I got to oogle at it and I took some pics that are in an album right now. Thanks again for the warm welcome!

I live near Montgomery, across the Tallapoosa River in Elmore County. I grew up outside Greenville, in Butler County, about 60 miles away.

Do any of you need this translated? I'll go ahead and help y'all out.
While I hold no malice toward the great state of Texas, I would prefer to partake of the gastronomical delight, known as "barbeque", that is prepared by the local residents of my home state.

The lesser known, but better tasting, Alabama style.

I don't care much for the dry rub. I want to get the sauce all over me.
