Hello from Ontario, Canada. New to this Forum. Chose the name Tilly to post as it was the name given to the Tank my father operated in WWII. Have received contact from Europe of a woman who believes she is my half-sister (same father). She would have been conceived around the end of November 1945. My parents wrote during war and married in 1947. Mail sent to 6 Canadian Anti Tank Regiment (which disbanded on 23 Jun 45) was redirected to 16/43 Bty. R.C.A. 12 Canadian Field Regiment Canadian Army Overseas. Does anyone have any idea when this regiment of soldiers arrived back home in Canada? They disbanded the on 31 Oct 45 and the 2nd 12th regiment on 18 May 46. How long would it take after they disbanded to make it home? I'm hoping it's true and I have discovered a sister!!
