G'day from downunder - need German ration book identified.
Hi everyone! I have what looks like a German ration book with stamps in it covering 1941-1944, but not reading German, I don't really know what is. I have attached a photo of the first page. It is a hard-bound booklet, red on the outside with a gold embosed swazsticker on the front. Any feedback would be most appreciated. Cheers.

Re: G'day from downunder - need German ration book identified.
Welcome Maxj,
Mitgliedsbuch is 'membership book', not unlike the Military 'Soldbuch'.
The cog logo with the Swastika on the front is that of the RAD, (Reichsarbeitdienst, Reich Labour corps).
It would be for details of service, units, places, promotions, etc. to be recorded in for a member of the DAF or RAD.
Just zoomed in on the text and it does appear to be a DAF one, ( Deutscharbeitsfront,).
Cheers,
Adam.

I used to have one of these myself. It is a DAF book. Mine had many orange and green stamps in it-and was registered to some Lady whose only living relative, was in New York, New York.

One thing I have to say: Max asked a question, got a couple of replies, and he said Thank You in the end.
Not a thing we see everyday on "touch-and-go" members here.
So here goes a reputation mark to his score from myself to encourage him to return, which I hope he will do soon!
Cheers!
